  • Since most private cars are parked at home overnight, it becomes extremely convenient for electric vehicle owners to have EV charging points installed in their home, especially with more people working from home than ever before.

We are a professionally certified car charging point installation provider. We only install reputable and reliable charging models, such as Rolec and MyEnergi, as we believe these give the best value for money and service.

The charging point can be mounted on just about any exterior wall or garage where we can wire it up to the mains.

  • Smart heating controls are the latest and best way to control the temperature of homes and businesses and keep costs at a minimum. Different rooms can be adjusted separately and can be adjusted from anywhere using your smartphone. Many versions also integrate with other smart devises you already have in your home.

We only work with the best systems as they are the most reliable, including Nest, Heatmiser and Genius.

Nest is not only beautifully designed but it is one of the best-performing thermostats on the market. You can use it just for your heating or complete a smart home ecosystem with Googles doorbells and security cameras.

Heatmiser offers the most flexible Smart Room Thermostat solution on the market today – offering underfloor heating control as well as radiator and hot water solutions.

The Genius Hub helps you reduce your property’s energy consumption by only heating the parts of the building that are being used. Each room is controlled individually and it learns the best schedule automatically based on your usage, which helps you to save money as well as energy.

The Energy Savings Trust estimates a 10% increase in your heating bill for every degree you turn the thermostat up, so installing a Smart Thermostat can certainly help keep your bills lower.

  • Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) is a whole-house ventilation system that both supplies and extracts air throughout a property. Heat recovery is an option used in domestic dwellings, and helps to reduce the heating and cooling demands of buildings. It can also reduce mould and condensation issues.

Heat recovery systems typically recover about 73–95% of the heat in exhaust air and have significantly improved the energy efficiency of buildings.

MVHR is the ideal choice when:

    • You are doing a full renovation or building a new house rather than a retrofit.

    • You require a whole-house ventilation solution.

    • You want to make your home more energy efficient.

Call us to discuss your requirements and obtain a quote.

  • Solar panels, also known as PV, are a great addition to most homes. They help capture the sun’s energy and convert it into electricity that you can use in your home. By generating your own renewable energy you will be helping the planet and cutting down on your energy bills on an ongoing basis.

Things to consider for solar panels are the roof space required and the direction your house faces.

If you are not sure if solar panels will benefit your property you can try the Energy Saving’s Trusts Solar Energy Calculator, which will give you a rough guide. We are here for any further questions and a quote.

  • A Solar PV System is able to generate, store and power your home or business with 100% renewable energy from the sun. The Photovoltaic Cells or Solar PV Panels collect packets of the sun’s energy from sunlight, and converts it into Direct Current (DC). This current through your inverter is then changed into Alternating Current (AC) to be used domestically or commercially.

Please call or email us for any questions and a quote.

  • For a more in-depth and specific look into which energy-saving solutions could be right for you, we can come out to you and do an energy survey. They don’t take long but will help you understand which of our eco solutions you can benefit from and how much money they could save you.

We can also monitor your equipment and usage once we have installed them.

Ideas on how to save energy and money

Use Energy-Saving Bulbs – These bulbs are an investment as they cost more than a regular bulb. However, according to The Energy Savings Trust, if you replace all the bulbs in your home with LED lights, you could reduce your carbon dioxide emissions by up to 40kg a year. This is equivalent to the carbon dioxide emitted by driving your car around 145 miles.

Lighting makes up 11% of the average UK household electricity consumption, so making the switch could help you save money too.

Unplug anything you are not using – According to Chronicle Live, by simply switching everything off at the wall, you could save yourself at least £120 a year. If you leave a device plugged in and switched on, even if it's not in use, it will still use electricity. This is why you should switch off the object at the plug socket, so electrical current is unable to flow. The worst offenders are tv’s, tv boxes, games consoles, speakers, printers and over-charging mobile phones. Look round your house to see what you can unplug.

Turn your thermostat down by 1 degree – The Energy Savings Trust estimates a 10% increase in your heating bill for every degree you turn the thermostat up, so every degree really makes a difference. Think about putting on a jumper before turning up the thermostat!

Keep your radiators clear – Keeping stuff away from your radiators, like furniture and clothes, will allow heat to circulate more freely around the room.

Shut doors – Closing internal doors can help keep heat in and stop cold air from circulating through any unoccupied rooms.

Block any obvious draughts – There are many ways heat can escape from your home, from cracks and holes, poorly insulated roofs, to gaps under doors, so they are always a good idea to get sorted.

Use appliances when your energy costs are lower – If you have a lower rate for your energy overnight then set timers to use the washing machine, dishwasher, or charge the car during that time. If you have solar panels then maybe during the day, when they are producing power, would save you more money?

Help make your home or business as eco friendly and heat efficient as possible

Install a Smart Thermostat – Many of the official figures of how much you can save using these devices are often disputed, however, common sense says that if you can manage your heating on timers or keep your heating continually low, change the settings when you are in and out (especially if you forget before you go out) and alter the temperatures in different rooms as required, then surely that will reduce the energy you are using and therefore the cost associated with that as well. Keep yourself in control.

Have solar panels fitted with battery storage – Solar panels are great at generating green energy from the sun and helping to reduce your fuel bills. However, by adding a battery it allows you to store any extra electricity you are not using in the day (when it’s generated), to use as and when you want.

You could choose to use the excess energy stored in your battery to power your home in the evening, making you even more independent from the grid or you could charge your electric vehicle, increasing the amount of clean energy used by your family.

Drive an electric vehicle and install a home charge point – With petrol and electricity prices being so high at the moment it can feel difficult to make the choice, but charging an electric vehicle up won’t cost as much as filling it up with petrol, and it’s better for the environment. By having a charging point at home it is much more convenient and you are in control of when you use it.

Home Heat Recovery Ventilation – Although this is more an option for new builds or total refits (due to the space needed for ducting and the unit), anyone using this option will save considerable money on their bills. Because the fresh air is pre-warmed, heat loss from ventilation is largely avoided. This means the householder can spend less on heating their property, reducing costs by around 25%, therefore saving money and ensuring a healthy, well-ventilated home.

Get a free energy check – The Energy Savings Trust website can give your home a free energy check. You’ll get a report that outlines in detail any improvements you can make to ensure your home is as energy efficient as it can be.
